What are your rates?
Barbara’s rate is $150 for a 50 minute session. Barbara can provide a free 15 minute consultation phone call to help answer any questions and see if she’s a good fit for your needs.
What are your hours?
Barbara sees clients Monday - Thursday 9am-5:30pm and Friday 9am-2pm.
Do you take insurance?
Barbara is currently taking Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Oscar Health, Oxford, and United Healthcare. If you do not have one of those insurance, you can still see Barbara as a private pay client. Barbara can provide a superbill, which is an itemized list of charges, if you would like to submit to your insurance company to access your out of network benefits. Check with your insurance company about your out of network (OON)benefits.
What are the benefits of not using my insurance and being a private pay client?
While many would like to use their insurance benefits, this may not be the best option for some. When insurance companies pay for your treatment, their employees have access to session notes. This means that it is up to them to determine the “necessity” of your treatment and determine your progress. They may decide to deny further coverage at any time. Barbara strongly believes in confidentiality and privacy, so she can discuss options if you would like to not use your in network benefits.

What is the Good Faith Estimate?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
